About Elias

Elias Mäntylä is a composer, music editor, and a classical guitarist from Finland.

Elias' musical background started over 15 years ago at different music schools and conservatories in Finland and it landed him at Berklee College of Music where he graduated with a double major in Film Scoring and Classical Guitar Performance.

As a guitarist, Elias is highly versatile, varying styles from classical/flamenco to jazz and metal.

As a composer and producer, Elias' music is heavily concentrated around hybrid / orchestral film music as well as classical guitar compositions that have been highly praised by the community.

Elias has worked with young up and coming film makers from all over the country and has accumulated a fair amount of scoring credits. Some even leading up to award nominations at film festivals. In between projects Elias likes to focus on writing more contemporary guitar pieces.

Elias also spent a year as a remote production intern for Dastardly Sounds (current Obsidian Audio) in LA. There he learned useful skills about creating sync music for media, like arranging and editing exiting music but he also created his own tracks.
